“Helping children and families build a solid foundation of self-love.”
LMHCSACChildren & FamiliesSchool-Based Support

My counseling philosophy is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship with the children, families, and school districts that I work with, allowing for the safe exploration of the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that impact the school day and beyond. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and a school adjustment counselor (SAC). My passion is helping children and their families learn new and effective strategies to live a life worth living and create a solid foundation of self-love.

Trauma is identified as an emotional response or wound resulting from a distressing experience. I have been blessed to support children who carry a childhood wound or whose emotional responses are negatively impacting their relationships, self-esteem, and academic success. I lovingly work with children who require special education services, including an IEP or 504 Plan.

My journey began as a Health and Physical Education teacher in 2008. I climbed my way to my dream job as a therapist and school adjustment counselor. My roles as a graduate student, mentor, class advisor, and cross-country and track-and-field coach have all led me here. I look forward to developing specific treatment plans based on the individual needs of each person I work with.
